Tomorrow morning you will wake up and be a teenager, I can't beleive it, thirteen already, no longer my little girl. There are so many things I should say, so many things I should have said. I just don't know where to start.
Let me say first and foremost that you are wonderful, truly fabulous. You started that way and you always will be. Just look at you here with Hank, ain't you cute. And so are you Hank.
You are you, all you. You've never been overtly girly (well okay I have caught you here in your one moment of girlydom way back when - and if you can get those rocks as the real thing, go for it!) you are a tomboy just like your namesake (see film Fried Green Tomatoes at The Whistle Stop Cafe for the amazing heroine Idgy) and I love you for that.
You are honest and open, an outdoorsy country girl who loves her animals, her friends and just being you.
You are fun to be around, you make me laugh.
You are beautiful inside and out.
You care.
You are my bestest friend.
You are clever and smart.
You are the beating of my heart.
Thirteen years have flown by and I feel I haven't spent enough time with you, shared enough adventures, played enough games.
So this is it, moving from one era to another, a teenager, my baby all growing up and gorgeous. I still don't know what to say, oh yes maybe just one thing,
I love you.

Sending a late birthday greeting to Idgy (I've been away for the weekend). What a very special milestone birthday this one is for her, and for you! You should be proud of each other, you are both loving, caring and kind. Enjoy the cinema and birthday tea, look forward to reading about it tomorrow.
P.S. I love it that Hank is STILL in the picture .. is he having a special 13th birthday celebration too?
