Well it is that time of year already, the exhibitors manual has arrived along with my precious batch of freeby tickets to the Country Living Fair in Scotland in November.

Just like last year I will be giving away some tickets to my blogger friends. This year I have a pair of tickets to give away.

I had a great response to this giveaway and some great comments. seems tea is a big thing for all of us. I must admit, while I love my strong black coffee first thing to get me started, then I always have a capacino as a treat when I am out and about, it is tea by the bucket load that keeps me going throughout the day.

Thanks for the nice comments and emails re my sore foot. I have been hopping about with a packet of frozen peas stuffed into a sock and trying to stay still as mush as possible. I watched 'Sex In The City' movie again last night. Now I loved that movie when it come out a couple of years ago, and I did watch it on dvd last This time tho it got me thinking.

If the world were split into two camps 'Gilmor Girls' and 'Sex in the city' I feel now I would have to fall into the former category. Was devastated when Gilmor Girls ended on tv the other week. I adored the fast paced humour and general quirkiness of the characters. Okay, so Stars Hollow is a tad overblown and oh-so-twee, but hey, it is just so much fun.

Maybe I am just becoming a boring old country bumpkin, but I watched Sex in the city last night and thought, hmmm this isn't 'me', I prefer the more gentle lifestyle, the funnier (to my mind anyway) chat and lovable characters in the Gilmor Girls.  Okay so they don't do the high fashion stuff, but there again, neither do I. I think my levis and t-shirt would fit into Stars Hollow better than Manhattan.

TEA COSY GIVEAWAY

It is giveaway time again. Iu have one of my original applique tea cosies to give away this month. Handmade in vintage wool blanket with embroidery and applique design. From my 'Heart of the home'"range.

And for those who asked about those bargain mugs I picked up at the open day on Sunday, here they are. The perfect pale green that matches the 1930s storage jars that I have on my dresser. They keep your tea hot all the way to HQ, perfect!!

HEART OF THE HOME GIVEAWAY

Good morning all,  thought it was high time that I did another giveaway. June seems to have rushed up on me and time flying by this year, can't believe the school holidays start in just two weeks!

I'm beavering away getting stock ready for the Horrogate fair next month and have been trying out various different heart hanger designs. I thought it would be a nice idea to use some as giveaways now and then. So here we have my Heart of the Home giveaway. This is a lovely big heart that really makes a statement and it smells gorgeous too.

For me, well it's the kitchen as everything seems to happen in there, from food to friends, work to wishing. I seem to divide my time between HQ and the kitchen. KEYRING GIVEAWAY

 

aHA, my photo has worked at last. Have had five tries at getting it to work and was just about to give up. Is anyone else having problems loading pix on typepad today?

Anyway l thought l would offer you a little GIVEAWAY today. It is seriously horrible, miserable weather here and l need cheering up.

MUMS AND MAILS

Still lovely and snowy here. Seems so wierd as this should be the advent of Spring with brightness and yellow daffodils. Instead we have snow, snowdrops and daffodils with their buds firmly zipped up against the chill.

I am thrilled with the fabulous Mum comments on the giveaway. Wow you guys really love your Mums and that is so great to hear. I can't wait to do the prize draw on Sunday!

Yesterday l managed to lose my entire 'in box' in the change over of servers/hosters etc. All very stressy l can tell you. I am hoping that there was nothing in there that l really needed to reply to urgently. Anyway if you are waiting for a reply from me - HUGE SORRY - don't have your email any more. Thank goodness all my lovely comments for the prize draw are on this account!  This all just adds fodder to the fire that blazes merrily proclaiming loudly that l am a TECHNOPHOBE, l am hopeless.

It has been a week of sewing (building up my new stock), web work  (web site now gone, eeeek!!) and sorting out HQ. Of course l pick a nice cold snowy week to be trotting in and out with boxes and bundles. Dodging the mole hills (hmmmmm nothing has yet worked on that front, going to have to get in 'Mole Man!) and slipping on the snow.

Anyway off to run this morning as the road is now clear enough. Happy Friday!

BEST MUM GIVEAWAY

 

All sorts of thoughts and memories come to mind at the mere mention of "Mum". From creating that magical comfort food (tomato soup with Ritz crackers) when we were young and poorly and lying on the sofa snuggled in a blanket. To tying our shoelaces, wiping away tears and reading endless stories to lull us to sleep. Mums do all these things - the great and the small - every day.

Mine of course was the soup and sofa.

HUGE thanks to all those who sent me birthday wishes. I had a lovely day thanks. Idgy gave me two cards, one was handmade and from her and all the animals. She also gave me a pair of earphones to use while running. Oh this will make a huge difference to me. I had started using my mobile phone on radio setting and with the earphones while running. Really makes the time pass, however the ear bits kept flying off and l would spend more time footering about trying to get them to stay in than l would actually on the move. Abandoned my visions of running with music. Well now l have the ear things and will just have to learn how to use the little mp3 thingy l have had for years and never used..........

In the morning we went through to the East coast and visited my Mum and went for lunch. Then caught up with Madge for coffee. Then off to see Carrie at her gorgeous shop 'Rustique Interiors' and spent my birthday money from Mum. Came home with a lovely old dressing table that Carrie had painted to an aged white. Now l just have to get it upstairs!

We spent a lazy evening by the fire with birthday cake (couldn't get a small one that wasn't for a five year old so had to go big!) and wine for me Coke for Idgy. Watched Billy Connelly's new travel programme about the north west passage - fabulous stuff.

Now back to normal and the run - - - -
