THE BIG CHILL

Probably the most used blog title today as everyone will be mentioning the chilly, chilly weather. Anyway here we are in Ayrshire and it is C O L D. Here is a pic l took yesterday when l ran along to Wendy's. The white snow covered mountains in the distance are the Isle of Arran.

 

And here we have a frozen bird with too much ice in his drink!

I spent yesterday holed up in the kitchen with all my files and plans for next year. Also did the books for last month and generally did a catch up on the accounts etc. Eugh something l hate, but felt it had to be done. Now l feel l have got a bit more organised and have decided to have my 'office' in the house (diningroom beside the door) and when l do move back to HQ it will all be for the work stuff and not the paperwork. I'll have to tackle the book shelves to try to get some space for files etc in here. Does anyone else find that their addiction to Amazon just gets stronger and stronger as they age. I seem to have more books by the day. Much tho l love them, they are fast taking over the house. I even have a 2 foot pile of them beside my chair masquerading as a coffee table.

The blizzards forcast for last night mave not yet materialized. I shall run round to Wendy's this morning and then hit the post office with orders and get in some food in case we are snowed in. Tonight Idgy is singing in a carol concert in Kilmarnock with all the other school chiors in Ayrshire. goodness our gal is getting stagestruck these days!
